JUDr. Július Brichta

Július Brichta founded the firm in 1990 and has served as its partner ever since. His practice includes real estate, civil and commercial law. He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).

He represents clients in the proceedings before Slovak general courts of law, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and the European Court of Human Rights.

mr. Brichta has many years of experience in representing Slovak and foreign companies, municipalities and local authorities as well as religious institutions and private clients. He has represented clients in cases concerning large real estate restitutions and currently represents owners of houses under the regulated rent scheme in mass complaints filed with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

JUDr. Tatiana Brichtová

Tatiana Brichtová is senior partner at the firm. As an attorney at law and registered patent attorney she coordinates entire intellectual property rights agenda and anti-counterfeiting work.

She has been a registered patent attorney authorized to practice in proceedings before the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic since year 1993 and in 2001 she received the authorization to represent clients before the European Patent Office. She is a member of International Trademark Association (INTA) and International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).

She represents Slovak, foreign and international companies in matters of intellectual property rights enforcement and litigation and brand protection.

Thanks to her diligence and effort, the firm received various awards: CHAMBERS EUROPE 2019: Intellectual Property: Slovakia – Band 1 Law Firm, Law firm of the year 2019 in Slovakia in the Intellectual property category, WTR 1000 2017: Slovakia – Gold Law Firm, Acquisition INTL 2016 Intellectual Property Awards: Recognized leader in IP law.

JUDr. Milan Čápka

Milan Čápka is senior partner focused on civil and commercial law. His practice also includes dispute resolution, special regulations (particularly financial services), construction law and real estate. As a registered insolvency trustee, he has lots of experience in the bankruptcy law.

Mr. Čápka has been a member of the Slovak Bar Association since 2001 and is registered in the Register of Insolvency Trustees of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic under no. S1649.

He graduated from Comenius University´s Faculty of Law in Bratislava in year 1996 and became Doctor of Law in 2001.

Mgr. Maroš Ožvald

Maroš Ožvald is an attorney at law and junior partner of the firm. His practice areas cover mainly IP law and commercial law. He focuses mainly on the enforcement of the intellectual property rights and disputes related to IP law, unfair competition, strategic advice related to intellectual property and anti counterfeiting. He further deals with the commercial law, particularly real estate, copyright and advertising. Mr. Ožvald has also been involved in several corporate and M&A projects.

Mgr. Jozef Lustoň

Jozef Lustoň is an attorney at law and partner of the firm. His practice includes civil and commercial law with special focus on corporate law and debt recovery. Mgr. Halina Makovníková

Halina Makovniková is an attorney and a member of the IP department since 2002. As an associate, she was working mainly on prosecution and management of IP rights and anti-counterfeiting matters. Since passing the Bar exam in 2010, she handles litigation related to unfair competition and trademark infringements, prosecution of IP rights and strategic advice. Mrs. Makovniková further deals with employment law matters.

Matej Ondrejka focuses his practice on private law with emphasis on civil, commercial and employment law. His practice includes contractual work and dispute resolution. MMag. Dominik Brichta

Dominik Brichta is a senior associate of the firm. His focus areas include corporate law, intellectual property law, IT law, arbitrations, e-commerce and regulations of NGOs.

Dominik Brichta counsels start-ups and investment funds, including funding, communication between founders and investors and investment transaction preparation through Venture Capital and Private Equity.

Dominik Brichta has extensive experience in business and entrepreneurship and very professional business oriented approach to legal services. Mr. D. Brichta is the chairman of the Management Board of an eCommerce company he has founded with partners during his studies, which, in joint venture, runs more than 20 online stores in 6 countries in Central and Eastern Europe with portfolio of more than 12 German brands and retail outlets.

His extensive experience and innovative approach gained him a membership in several prestigious organizations such as Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners (YAAP), Slovak Alliance for Innovative Economics (SAPIE) and also Data Protection Task Force of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic.

Mgr. Zuzana Kulčárová MICLaw

Zuzana Kulčárová is an associate and a member of the IP department. Her specialization is legal advice in the field of intellectual property law, with focus on national and international prosecution, portfolio management, global analysis and strategies, licensing and enforcement of trademarks, designs, patents, utility models, designations of origin, Copyright Law and IP Due Diligence.

She has graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Pan-European University in Bratislava. During her studies, she attended the exchange program in Finland. After her studies in Slovakia, she has earned her Master’s degree in Law and Information Society at University of Turku, Finland as a Master of International and Comparative Law (MICLaw).

JUDr. Katarína Tináková

Katarína Tináková has been a member of the firm since 2015, she has become an associate 2016. She attended an exchange program in Spain where she has earned her B2 level certificate in Spanish at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.

Ms. Tináková provides legal advice mainly in the field of civil and commercial law, bankruptcy and debt recovery.

Mgr. Andrea Boboková

Ms. Andrea Boboková is a lawyer of the IP department, focusing on national and international prosecution and monitoring of registration procedures for trade marks before the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic, the European Union Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization. She is responsible for managing trademark portfolios, client consultations and communication with patent offices and national representatives across the world.

Božena Dušičková

Mrs. Bozena Dušičková is our office manager and coordinates the day-to-day running of the firm to ensure that our agenda is always well prepared.

Ing. Darina Kyliánová

Mrs. Darina Kyliánova, after her graduation from the Faculty of Chemistry of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava and a short industry practice, has joined the Office for Inventions and Discoveries as a Patent Officer, where she was in charge of patent applications research.

She was the first person in Slovakia to cover the issue of international patent applications under the Mutual Cooperation Agreement, and in 1993 she was appointed as the Director of the International Department of the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic.

Between years 2001 and 2012, she was the Chairwoman of the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic.

She represented Slovak Republic in the administrative boards of the European Patent Office in Munich, the Office for Harmonization of the Internal Market in Alicante and the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva.

For 5 years she worked as a patent attorney and served as the Chairwoman of the Slovak association of patent attorneys. During her whole professional life, she has been dealing with industrial property rights. She currently continues in these activities as a counsel to Brichta & Partners Law Firm, as an external employee of CVTI SR in Bratislava and as a member of the Faculty at the Metropolitan University in Prague.
