As an attorney and entrepreneur, he has successfully led the firm to dozens of national and international honors and awards.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Comenius University in Bratislava with honors and a red diploma in 1986 and obtained the degree of JUDr. Subsequently, alongside practicing law, he pursued postgraduate studies in industrial law at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, which he completed in 1989. After the establishment of the independent Slovak Republic in 1993, he passed patent examinations before the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic, with the right to represent Slovak and foreign clients. He became a pioneer in the field of intellectual property as one of the first attorneys engaged in providing legal services in the protection of intellectual property rights.
- Represents clients in proceedings before the general courts of the Slovak Republic, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
- He has successfully represented more than 300 clients in 17 class actions before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg concerning compensation to owners of rent-controlled properties.
- Clients were paid large financial compensation and the decisions won confirmed that the state had long violated the basic human rights of our clients, which led to a change in legislation in this area.
- Representing Slovak and foreign clients in the restitution of large land portfolios and buildings, as well as in the long-term management of these assets.
- Providing legal advice on the sale, purchase and lease of real estate, as well as comprehensive services related to these transactions.
- Providing assistance in and coordination of the provision of pro bono services to multiple charities and individuals.
