Brichta & Partners: Award-winning leader in intellectual property law introduces a new identity and ambitions for the future

Brichta & Partners has confirmed its leading position on the Slovak market. In the prestigious competition "Law Firm of the Year", organized by the ePravo.cz portal in cooperation with the Trend magazine, the law firm won its ninth award in the intellectual property law category, being the fifth in a row. Moreover, this exceptional achievement comes in the year when the firm celebrates its 35th anniversary.

On the occasion of the jubilee, Brichta & Partners decided to make a significant shift in the communication of their brand. In cooperation with GoBigname, under the creative leadership of Michal Pastier and Rudolf Letko, the law firm introduced a new visual identity.

Combining tradition with innovation

The change is not only an aesthetic refreshment, but a comprehensive redesign that reflects the development of the law firm and its ambition to be a relevant and modern leader in the legal field. The new visual combines tradition with innovation and underlines the offering of creative solutions that push the boundaries of law and business. "These timeless visuals represent our long-standing approach – to solve legal challenges in a modern, precise way and always with the aim of helping the client succeed," said Tatiana Brichtová, Co-founder of the law firm.

According to her, the new identity also reflects the firm's commitment to remain an understandable, active and engaged partner in topics that are currently shaping the legal, business and social space. The award and the new visual appeal not only to corporate clients, but also to startups and technology companies that have been working with the Brichta & Partners team for a long time.

At the same time, the law firm plans to intensify education in the field of intellectual property, M&A, technology law and innovation protection through practical recommendations, expert outputs and commentaries. "Today, it is no longer enough to be a good lawyer. It is necessary to clearly explain why the intellectual property strategy is crucial for the expansion or sale of established companies and startups, how the protection of innovations is related to competitiveness, or what regulatory changes in the field of artificial intelligence mean for ordinary business," said Milan Čápka, Senior Partner of the firm.

The Firm’s Achievements in Lawyers' Textbooks

Brichta & Partners has long built on a combination of legal expertise, technical knowledge and understanding of the clients' business environment. This approach is systematically developed within the unique concept of "IP one stop shop", which connects all phases of intellectual property protection – from local and international strategy for the protection of intellectual property, through its protection through registration procedures and complex contracts, to protection in litigation.

A team of experienced attorneys continuously monitors developments in the field of technology, artificial intelligence and digital platforms. Brichta & Partners is also strengthening its team with experts with an interdisciplinary overlap and by investing in further education. "Our work has contributed to the court decisions that are now taught at the faculties of law. We aim to demonstrate that a good law firm does not have to be anonymous or corporate, but can be humane, firmly based on values, and at the same time courageous in its goals," said Július Brichta, Partner and Founder of the law firm.

Experts not only in intellectual property

In addition to specializing in intellectual property law, the firm also focuses on commercial and corporate law, especially mergers, acquisitions and real estate transactions. With a 35-year history and four generations of lawyers, Brichta & Partners is one of the longest-running law firms in Slovakia. Headquartered in Bratislava and with extensive long-term international partnerships, it serves clients in Europe, as well as in America, Africa and Asia. Since its establishment, it has helped more than two thousand clients and provided legal advice on transactions worth more than 500 million euros.

Among the most significant achievements of the firm outside the field of intellectual property and commercial law is also the representation of more than 300 clients in 17 successful class actions before the European Court of Human Rights in cases of regulated rents. The court’s decision brought tens of millions of euros in compensation for clients and led to a change in legislation in favour of the owners.

Even after three decades on the market, Brichta & Partners proves that expert work, client trust and the ability to adapt to new challenges are the key to long-term success in the legal world.
